Carry Naloxone

Naloxone is a life-saving medication used to reverse an opioid overdose. Naloxone is to be given to anyone who presents or is suspected to be experiencing signs and symptoms of an opioid overdose.

Adult Use Cannabis

The New York State Office of Cannabis Management (OCM) was established upon passage of the Marijuana Regulation and Taxation Act (MRTA) in March 2021 to implement a regulatory framework for medical and adult-use cannabis and hemp in the state of New York. This includes, but is not limited to production, licensing, packaging, marketing and the sale of cannabis.

Community Buprenorphine Assistance Program (BUPE-AP)

Buprenorphine (also known as brand name Suboxone) is used to help you manage your opioid use, like heroin, fentanyl, and prescription opioids and protects you from an opioid overdose. The Buprenorphine Assistance Program covers the cost of buprenorphine products indicated to treat substance use disorder (SUD) for persons who are uninsured or underinsured and not able to cover the cost of these products. This program covers copays and coordinates with patients’ insurers to cover any other out-of-pocket costs. To be eligible for Buprenorphine Assistance Program, people need to be enrolled in the program.

Opioid Overdose Reponse Training

  • You can reverse and overdose if you know what to do and you act in time. Whether you use drugs, love someone who does, or just care about the people in your community, it's important to be prepared if you encounter someone who is overdosing. This training is for anyone who may be with or encounter a person that is experiencing an overdose.
  • By the end of this training, you will be able to:
    • List the signs and symptoms of an opioid overdose
    • Demonstrate how to administer naloxone
    • Identify the steps to follow when encountering an opioid overdose
    • Identify options for obtaining naloxone
    • Identify resources for further training
  • This training should take 15 minutes to complete.
