DAL-Hospice Medicaid Reimbursement Rates

Dear Administrator

This notifies you of the approval and publication of your Medicaid Hospice Residence rates, including the Recruitment, Training and Retention (RTR) add-ons for the period January 1, 2022, through December 31, 2022. The formula on which these 2022 rates are based was promulgated in accordance with Section 4014 of the Public Health Law (PHL) and Subpart 86- 6(h) of Title 10 of the Commissioner’s Administrative Rules and Regulations.

These rates represent 94% of the weighted average calendar year Medicaid rate of the nursing facilities located in the WEF region of your hospice residence. These rates also include the value of the ten percent increase, effective April 1, 2018, in accordance with Chapter 57 of the Laws of 2018.

Additionally, the 2022 Enacted State Budget included a one percent (1%) enhancement, effective April 1, 2022. This enhancement has also been approved and published. The payment for the Hospice residence initial January 01, 2022 rates, and the April 2022 one percent add-on rates will be made in cycle 2356, check release date November 02, 2022.

The rates are attached to this letter and will be posted on the NYS DOH public website
