Dear Administrator:
This notifies providers of the approval and publication of the Non-Residential Medicaid Hospice Care and Medicaid Hospice Supplemental Financial Assistance Program rates (including the Worker Recruitment and Retention (WRR) and Recruitment, Training and Retention (RTR) add- ons) effective October 1, 2022, through September 30, 2023. The formula on which these rates are based was promulgated in accordance with Article 40 of the Public Health Law (PHL) and Subpart 86-6 of Title 10 of the Commissioner's Administrative Rules and Regulations.
Additionally, minimum wage increases have been incorporated into these rates based on survey data that was submitted and attested.
Further, the October 1, 2022, through September 30, 2023 rates include the 2022 Enacted State Budget one percent (1%) enhancement, effective April 1, 2022.
The rates are attached to this letter and are posted on the NYS DOH public website. The payment for the October 1, 2022, Non Residential hospice rates were made in cycle 2389, check release date June 21, 2023.
