Throughout his career, Paul Dicky, Supervising Public Health Engineer, has taken a lead role in resolving many events that posed a threat, or perception of risk, to public health in Niagara County. Paul is a master collaborator, able to work across disciplines and with partners of varying levels of expertise in order to address hazards and risks in the environment. He sits on a number of community advisory panels, and is able to translate and communicate technical and scientific information in ways that members of the community can understand. Mr. Dicky was notably instrumental in forming a field worker safety committee and developing a model Public Health Field Worker Safety Plan for Niagara County. His expertise, honesty, and forthrightness, especially in his work on environmental issues of long term impact to health and quality of life, have served the both the public health mission and the public well.
