Jennifer Delaney is the director of the Erie County Department of Health's Division of Environmental Health. Her career with Erie County began in 2001. She manages 100 employees who handle surveillance and investigation to protect human health and safety through permitted and non-permitted programs. Over the last year, she has led her team in handling a variety of special projects related to lead poisoning prevention, drinking water protection and food-borne illness outbreaks. In these, and with the routine work of septic system inspections, rabies prevention and vector control programs, and tobacco enforcement, Jennifer displays constant professionalism, a steadfast commitment to protecting the public, and a keen understanding of the science behind environmental health.
