  • 32 Years of Service

Monroe County has the rare privilege of having had Paul Hunt spend his entire ongoing 32-year career in the Lead Poisoning Prevention Program. Paul is not just their expert, but he is the go- to person for the entire community for any inquiries regarding lead poisoning prevention. He has trained countless sanitarians on conducting environmental lead investigations and worked with thousands of families to correct and prevent lead hazards. He was part of the collaboration that helped form Rochester's Coalition to Prevent Lead Poisoning and helped bring the issue of lead poisoning to the forefront of our community. He was instrumental in applying for and managing several HUD Lead Hazard Control Grants that resulted in addressing lead hazards in hundreds of homes. Paul continues to provide hands on expertise by interacting directly with families and staff in the field. The Monroe County community and children are truly safer because of Paul's work.
