John Edwards rose to the level of hero as the Ontario County Public Health Department faced the challenges of the COVID-19 Pandemic. The preparedness plans that he had developed and drilled over the past years enabled the department to quickly mobilize to protect the residents of our county. Whether it was securing PPE, contact tracing, quarantining individuals, supporting other organizations in addressing the pandemic or organizing and supporting the delivery of over 25,000 vaccines, John was on top of it! His ability to maintain focus and flexibility led the public health department in meeting the ever-changing demands of fighting this virus. John’s dedication and countless hours of effort cannot even begin to measure the difference he has made.
