Single Source Procurement: Adolescent/Young Adult HIV Specialized Care Centers
Pursuant to New York State Finance Law § 163.10(b), The New York State Department of Health is presenting the following summary of relevant circumstances, and material and substantial reasons why a competitive procurement was not feasible. The New York State Department of Health Adolescent/Young Adult HIV Specialized Care Centers Program has made a determination to issue a Single Source Procurement to five eligible grantees to support ongoing currently funded projects.
These contracts support Adolescent/Young Adult HIV Specialized Care Centers that address the complex medical and non-medical needs of adolescents/young adults living with or at greater risk of HIV acquisition. These Centers provide comprehensive, tailored and coordinated HIV and primary health care, medical case management, and supportive services in clinical settings. Due to the specific circumstances of this procurement and the unique qualifications of the selected firm/entity, a competitive procurement was not feasible in this instance.
