Single Source Procurement: Medical Indemnity Fund (MIF) Third Party Administrator (TPA) X-2

Pursuant to New York State Finance Law § 163.10(b), The New York State Department of Health is presenting the following summary of relevant circumstances, and material and substantial reasons why a competitive procurement was not feasible. The New York State Department of Health Division of Medical and Dental Directors Program has made a determination to issue a Single Source Procurement to 1 vendor to support ongoing currently funded projects.

On March 14, 2023, the Department issued Request for Proposal (RFP) #20238 Medical Indemnity Fund (MIF) Administration Services for the combined scope of Third Party Claims Administration and Fund Administration services for the MIF. This extension request will provide the Department with enough time to successfully execute the resulting contract and allow enough time to properly transition the current services over to the winning bidder.
