Single Source Procurement: Medicaid Transportation Hudson Valley Region Extension Amendment 3

Pursuant to New York State Finance Law § 163.10(b), The New York State Department of Health is presenting the following summary of relevant circumstances, and material and substantial reasons why a competitive procurement was not feasible. The New York State Department of Health, Office of Health Insurance Programs, Division of Program Development and Management requests to amend Contract C031346 with Medical Answering Services, LLC (MAS) by extending the contract term for an additional six (6) months, from March 1, 2023 through August 31, 2023, for an additional $6,428,248.96. This six (6) month extension will avoid a gap in these critical services until the successor contract resulting from a Request for Proposals (RFP) is approved.
