Single Source Procurement: Eat Well Play Hard in Child Care Settings (EWPHCCS)

Pursuant to New York State Finance Law §163.10(b), the New York State Department of (DOH) is presenting the following summary of relevant circumstances and substantial reasons why a competitive procurement was not feasible.

The New York State Department of Health intends to contract with the Child Care Council. Inc., New York City Department of Health and Mental Hygiene, Child Care Council of Nassau, and the Cornell Cooperative Extension of Oneida to provide Eat Well Play Hard in Child Care Settings (EWPHCCS) services for the term 10/1/22 – 9/30/27. EWPHCCS is a research-tested, multi-level obesity prevention intervention that focuses on improving the nutrition and physical activity behaviors of low-income families and their children enrolled in registered and licensed child day care programs. Two unsuccessful competitive procurements were released for this service.
