2022 Quality Assurance Reporting Requirements (QARR)

RE: Clarification #5 for Measurement Year (MY) 2023 Updates

Dear Colleague,

This letter contains information about edits incorporated into the 2023 Quality Assurance Reporting Requirements (QARR) Technical Specifications, specifically the Patient Level Detail (PLD) for Measurement Year (MY) 2023 reporting. The updated files are posted on our Managed Care Information for Health Plans page. The revised specifications should be used in the plans’ processing for MY2023 QARR.

This clarification includes the following changes made to the MY2023 QARR reporting requirements.

Measure AIS-E (electronic version):
  • Denominator labels, numerator labels, and descriptions have been updated to match HEDIS denominator and numerator age bands for Influenza, Td/Tdap, and Zoster vaccines.
  • Additional dominator and numerator specifications have been added to the end of the PLD (column starts 524-528) to include 66 years and older reporting for Influenza, Td/Tdap, and Zoster vaccines.
Medicaid PLD:

Measure AIS-E (electronic version):
  • Denominator labels, numerator labels, and descriptions have been updated to match HEDIS numerator age bands for Influenza, Td/Tdap, and Zoster vaccines.
  • Additional denominator and numerator specifications have been added to the end of the PLD (column starts 543-547) to include 66 years and older reporting for Influenza, Td/Tdap, and Zoster vaccines.
Exchange PLD:

Measure AIS-E (electronic version):
  • Denominator labels, numerator labels, and descriptions have been updated to match HEDIS numerator age bands for Influenza, Td/Tdap, and Zoster vaccines.
  • Additional denominator and numerator specifications have been added to the end of the PLD (column starts 307-311) to include 66 years and older reporting for Influenza, Td/Tdap, and Zoster vaccines.
