Single Source Procurement: Drinking Water Fluoridation
Pursuant to New York State Finance Law § 163.10(b), the New York State Department of Health is presenting the following summary of relevant circumstances, and material and substantial reasons why a competitive procurement was not feasible. The New York State Department of Health, Division of Family Health, has made a determination to issue funding to the City of Syracuse in the amount of $351,969 for a period of eleven months, 8/1/19 – 6/30/20. Request for Application #17371, Drinking Water Fluoridation- Round 4 Component 2, was released in early 2018 and designed to support municipalities looking to upgrade, replace, repair or purchase equipment to initiate or maintain community water fluoridation. The additional $351,969 will be used to ensure the City of Syracuse is equipped with a complete and functional drinking water fluoridation system along with the necessary security measures to monitor the new system.
