Faith E. Lustik, Public Health Planner

Faith E. Lustik, Public Health Planner, leads the Jefferson County Public Health Service Health Promotion unit, and has demonstrated a continued and significant commitment to improving the public health of the local community. Faith led the successful Steps to a HealthierUS project, and currently directs diabetes prevention, Governor’s Traffic Safety, and Rural Minority Health initiatives for the county. Faith is also the project coordinator for the Jefferson County Childhood Lead Poisoning Prevention and Physically Handicapped Children’s Programs. Faith holds a multitude of public health certifications, from “built environment” to “emergency preparedness”. Faith successfully led a “Could It Be Asthma” social marketing campaign to increase parent and caregiver knowledge of asthma symptoms in children, the work was published in Health Promotion Practice (November 2010). Faith’s diverse abilities, as well as her dedication, devotion, and excellence toward her work, make her an outstanding asset and contributor to Public Health in NYS.
