The Fulton County Public Health Nursing Team continues to uphold the utmost standards of care in their daily contributions to public health. With the recent shift away from individual service delivery towards a more comprehensive population based care model, the FCPH nursing team has set a high bar for prevention and education in their collaborative community based initiatives. They continuously support newly emerging approaches and remain at the forefront of public health prevention/ education trends. The FCPH nursing team is an integral part of the current countywide telehealth initiative. The addition of health stations across the county, as well as the possibility of a mobile telehealth unit, will ensure an increase in remote access to health care, health education, and may further prevention efforts. The FCPH nurses continue to incorporate social media and existing technology, in an attempt to empower our residents with regard to their health choices. A recently re-stocked Geocache, entitled "Public Health or Else", placed in a local cemetery was well received, as evident from the site's log book.
