Laurel Headwell has worked for Montgomery County Public Health Department for only a year as a Public Health Program Coordinator. Laurel oversees the department's Public Health Emergency Preparedness Program and numerous other Public Health programs. She is responsible for developing, and maintaining the health department's emergency plans. Laurel provides public health education to the public to help prevent disease and injury, and promote wellness. She represents the agency in a professional manner and has established an excellent working relationship with local community partners, first responders, school nurses, and health care providers.
