Harry Shepard, Deputy Public Health Director, has been a source of sound fiscal practices for the Chemung County Health Department for 25 years. He has never ignored a request for assistance from neighboring counties and enjoys respect from a myriad of NYSDOH offices and staff members. His attention to detail is unmatched and his hard work ensures our local health department (LHD) receives the maximum reimbursement under state grants and contracts. At a time of great change for our LHD, Harry went over and above in his efforts to work with and educate new and existing department heads in the WIC and tobacco programs as well as our certified home health agency. He continues to provide support and assistance, at a moment's notice, to the new Public Health Director.
