Peter Rightmyer, Public Health Sanitarian, Monroe County Department of Public Health

Peter Rightmyer has worked for the Monroe County Department of Public Health for 20 years. Among other things, he has become the "go-to" person to handle issues with hotels, mobile home parks, and migrant labor camps. Pete has strategically built strong relationships with local code enforcement officers and fire marshals to collaboratively approach difficult matters. Understanding the need to spread his knowledge among peers, Pete has worked to train the other public health sanitarians in his section in these programs in 2018. He is willing to dedicate time to be a team player and a mentor and is still able to complete his assigned workload.
