Lisa Turner, Clinton County Health Department (CCHD) Supervising Public Health Educator, epitomizes many qualities of a seasoned public health professional. She expertly organizes tasks (and staff) for efficiency and productivity. She is quick to establish trust among partners, which she uses to masterfully facilitate projects in record time. She is a clear, calm communicator and patient teacher, finding creative and innovative solutions to small and large problems alike. In her 13 years at CCHD, Lisa has successfully executed public health initiatives addressing everything from breastfeeding to the built environment. Her work has been recognized locally, on the state level and nationally with a NACCHO Model Practice Award. Lisa is a true team player and sets this example for all other staff, students, and partners. This was no more evident than during COVID-19 response when Lisa skillfully stepped into several different local roles, including response planning, communication and educating the public about isolation & quarantine. Ms. Turner's devotion and passion for public health serves as a model for all CCHD staff.
