Kristin Parise has been an exemplary leader and human service provider with the Dutchess County Department of Behavioral & Community Health (DCDBCH). As an experienced social worker, Kristin has taken on a new role as the Clinical Program Manager for the Dutchess County’s 24-hour Crisis Intervention Program. This program includes coordinated services like the Dutchess County 24-hour HELPLINE, the “9-8-8 Project” – a suicide hotline helping to divert crisis calls from 9-1-1 operators to mental health professionals,) and the Trauma Informed Organizational Care Team which creates safe, welcoming, trustworthy, and inclusive services and spaces for the individuals served by DCDBCH. The crisis programs that Kristin oversees are stressful by nature. She is often responsible for navigating complex and challenging situations which she handles with grace and a commitment to the well-being of the clients. Kristin’s demeanor is positive, focused, productive, and collaborative. This was particularly evident during the major impacts of COVID-19 as she continued to work in the office, at top capacity, helping to ensure the needs of the community were met.
