Erie County Department of Health’s Office of Public Health Emergency Preparedness supported more than 700 COVID-19 testing sites, administered more than 35,000 rapid COVID-19 tests and collected more than 12,5000 PCR samples through early 2022. Through its efforts, more than 660 vaccine clinics administered more than 235,000 vaccine doses in 2021 alone. And through the Division of Emergency Medical Services, schools, municipal emergency managers, libraries, houses of worship, and non-profit organizations received hundreds of thousands of at-home COVID-19 tests for the general public. In addition, they distributed more than 7 million masks – and counting - to countless organizations.
