Single Source Procurement: Inorganic & Nuclear Chemistry

Pursuant to New York State Finance Law § 163.10(b), The New York State Department of Health is presenting the following summary of relevant circumstances, and material and substantial reasons why a competitive procurement was not feasible. There are currently only two manufacturers who provide microwave digestion systems that use high pressure open vessel technology to perform analysis of multiple samples, while using different acid digestion procedures during a single batch run. Milestone was the lowest priced provider.
