NY State of Health Announces Spring/Summer Outreach Calendar
Certified Experts Available Throughout the State to Assist Consumers
NY State of Health, the state's official health plan Marketplace, today announced its Spring/Summer outreach event calendar. Many uninsured New Yorker's can still enroll in coverage for the remainder of 2016, and possibly avoid or reduce, a federal tax penalty for not having coverage.
Individuals eligible for New York's new Essential Plan with premiums at $20 or less a month and individuals eligible for Medicaid or Child Health Plus can enroll in coverage through NY State of Health at any time during the year. Individuals with higher incomes who have a qualifying life event such as becoming pregnant, or losing other insurance coverage may be eligible to enroll in a Qualified Health Plan through a Special Enrollment Period.
