New York State Department Of Health Announces New "Shots and Slots" Vaccine Incentive

First 500 People Who Get Vaccinated Each Day at Empire City Casino by MGM Resorts between July 12 and 14 to Receive a $5 Free Play Voucher

Vaccinations Provided by White Plains Hospital at Empire City Casino from July 12 through July 14, from 3 p.m. to 8 p.m.

The New York State Department of Health today announced the "Shots and Slots" vaccine incentive which offers a $5 Free Play Voucher at Empire City Casino by MGM Resorts to the first 500 people each day who meet the legal age requirement and receive their COVID-19 vaccine at the casino between Monday, July 12 and Wednesday, July 14. White Plains Hospital is offering the single-dose Johnson & Johnson vaccine at Empire City, and those who have not yet been vaccinated can walk in between the hours of 3 p.m. and 8 p.m. between July 12 and 14, or register here​ ahead of time.

"With the worst of the COVID-19 pandemic now behind us, we remain committed to getting all New Yorkers vaccinated,"Health Commissioner Dr. Howard Zucker said."Creative incentives have been instrumental in helping us get more New Yorkers to roll up their sleeves. Getting vaccinated is the best way to avoid serious illness, and we encourage everyone who is eligible and meets the legal age requirement to take advantage of this new incentive."

The COVID-19 Vaccine Tracker Dashboard is available to update New Yorkers on the distribution of the COVID-19 vaccine. The New York State Department of Health requires vaccinating facilities to report all COVID-19 vaccine administration data within 24 hours; the vaccine administration data on the dashboardis updateddaily to reflect the most up-to-date metrics in the state's vaccination effort.

New Yorkers who suspect fraud in the vaccine distribution process can call 833-VAX-SCAM (833-829-7226) toll-free or email the state Department of Health at STOPVAXFRAUD@health.ny.gov. Hotline staff will route complaints to the appropriate investigative agencies to ensure New Yorkersare not being takenadvantage of as the State works to vaccinate the entire eligible population.
