ALBANY, N.Y. (January 5, 2022) -- The New York State Department of Health today announced the temporary closure of the state's Buffalo COVID-19 vaccination and testing sites on Thursday, January 6, 2022 due to anticipated dangerous weather conditions. The testing site, located at the Northwest Buffalo Community Center on 155 Lawn Avenue, is one of six new sites across the state that opened on January 4, 2022. The vaccination site is located at the University at Buffalo South Campus – Harriman Hall.

Individuals with testing appointments will be directly notified and asked to reschedule. People with vaccination appointments will automatically be rescheduled for the same time on Friday, or they can reschedule or walk in at another time.

Both sites are expected to re-open on Friday.

The testing site's hours of operation are Monday through Saturday from 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Future appointments can be made here.

The vaccination site's hours of operation are Monday through Saturday from 8:00 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. and Sunday from 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. Future appointments can be made here.

Walk-ins are also welcomed at both sites.
