Peter Corrigan

As a Sanitarian with the Monroe County Health Department, Peter Corrigan has developed an expertise in indoor air quality assessment. He is extremely knowledgeable on mold issues and is often quoted in the media as "Mr. Mold" or "The Mold Guy." He contributed to the article Handling Mold In Monroe County in the March 2006 issue of the NYSDOH Center for Environmental Health's publication In The Field of Environmental Health. Mr. Corrigan is a member of the Monroe County Department of Health HazMat team, and participates as a Health Department Representative on at least half-a dozen committees related to air and other environmental issues. He is also a Certified Asbestos Inspector, and runs a noise monitoring program related to the Greater Rochester International Airport. Mr. Corrigan is always cordial to the public even under difficult circumstances, and provides thoughtful insight. His advice to the public helps protect their health by providing tips on dealing with existing hazardous conditions and preventing them from happening in the future. His knowledge and professional approach to public health makes him an asset to the Department and the community.
