Considered by Essex County Public Health leadership to be a "Public Health Guru", Alana Forcier is a trusted source for clinical inquiries, providing professional input with years of knowledge and expertise to support it. Her public health experience includes home care, Supplemental Nutrition for the Women, Infants and Children (WIC) program, maternal and child health, immunization, communicable disease, lead poisoning and rabies prevention, emergency preparedness, grant reporting, public health detailing, marketing and communication. She recently led a successful collaborative effort to provide a Lyme and Rabies outreach and education program. Alana works closely with staff from the State Health Department's Saranac Lake District Office on illness investigations associated with children's camps, food service establishments and other regulated facilities in Essex County. During Ebola readiness efforts in the autumn of 2014, Alana brought a calm thoughtful approach to her work with the community. She is a dedicated client advocate with realistic public health goals and expectations.
