Darwyna Facteau is a supervising public health nurse who embodies her title. As a supervisor, Darwyna brings years of experience, leadership and skilled guidance to help support her staff to be successful. She places an emphasis on the importance of continuous learning for her staff and ensures that they are aware of opportunities to gain experience. She encourages each staff member to learn how the Health Department can better engage the community. Public Health is always at the forefront of Darwyna’s actions. Her familiarity with all health programs at the department makes her a valuable asset to the Health Care Services Division. It is important to her that up-to-date health information be available to all. Darwyna seeks to facilitate access and sharing of health information, within and outside the agency, as she the strives to achieve the CCHD mission to improve and protect the health, well-being and environment of our community.
