Beverly Lawler, Public Health Nurse, Niagara County Department of Health

Public Health Nurse Beverly Lawler has been an integral member of the nursing division for nearly thirty years. Beverly coordinates the activities of the immunization program, including ensuring that department meet and report required Immunization Action Plan grant activities to NYS. She oversees immunization clinics; educates staff and physicians on ways to increase immunization rates; visits physician's offices to assess immunization records; and chairs the WNY Adult Immunization Coalition. Her mission is to provide education to providers and parents regarding the importance of immunizations to protect our communities. Beverly is active in the community promoting the goal of increasing vaccine usage, including visiting soup kitchens and community missions. Whenever there is an occasion for her to influence even one individual, Beverly does not miss the opportunity. She strongly believes that every individual should receive all the necessary vaccines in order to protect themselves and the community within which they live.
