Public Health Nurse Jean Roemer is a strong asset to the Niagara County Department of Health's Nursing Division. Jean works tirelessly as head nurse for the Lead Poisoning Prevention Program, working both on active lead cases and participating in various initiatives to prevent child lead exposure in Niagara County. Jean is also a team-player in the Sexual Health Program, Immunization Program, and teaches evidence-based health classes to the community. Jean's dedication to service extends outside of work as she volunteers much of her time to the community, whether it is with her church, the local food pantry and kitchen, or just lending a hand to a stranger in need. In addition, she is an active member of the Western New York Association of Diabetes Educators. There is not one day that goes by that Jean is not going above and beyond to care for the community in which she serves.
