Health Care Reform Act - Payor Compliance Audit Protocols, Objectives, Timeline and Best Practices

The Department of Health (DOH), along with our contractor, KPMG LLP (KPMG), will be conducting a Health Care Reform Act Compliance (HCRA) Audit Best Practice webcast on Thursday, August 27, 2009. The webcast, which will cover topics specific to the payor community, will run from 1:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m. Please join us on Thursday, August 27, for a 2 hour discussion led by DOH Director Anthony Naglieri and KPMG HCRA Lead Partner Anthony Monaco.

Some topics that will be covered include:

  • Audit objectives and Protocols
  • Audit timelines, Milestones and Audit Responsibilities
  • Best Practices by Milestone

Discussion of issues such as Discrete Physician Billing, Retroactivity and Lump Sum payments. Among other things, KPMG will be providing best/worst practice examples and will use these to guide the presentation.
