Dear Administrator
This letter notifies you of the approval and publication of your Medicaid Hospice Residence rates, including the Recruitment, Training and Retention (RTR) add-ons for the period January 1, 2021, through December 31, 2021. The formula on which these 2021 rates are based was promulgated in accordance with Section 4014 of the Public Health Law (PHL) and Subpart 86- 6(h) of Title 10 of the Commissioner’s Administrative Rules and Regulations. These rates represent 94% of the weighted average calendar year Medicaid rate of the nursing facilities located in the WEF region of your hospice residence. These rates also include the value of the ten percent increase effective April 1, 2018, in accordance with Chapter 57 of the Laws of 2018.
The rates are attached to this letter and will be posted on the NYS DOH public website.
The payment for the January 1, 2021, Medicaid Hospice Residence rates will be made in cycle 2323, check release date March 16, 2022. If you have any questions regarding the above information, please send an email to hospice-rates@health.ny.gov and Richard Kappes will respond to your inquiry.
