Dear Administrator:

This letter notifies you of the approval and publication of your Medicaid Hospice Care and Medicaid Hospice Supplemental Financial Assistance Program (hospice non-residential) base rates as well as the Worker Recruitment and Retention (WRR) and Recruitment, Training and Retention (RTR) add-ons for the periods October 1, 2021, through September 30, 2022. The formula on which these rates are based was promulgated in accordance with Article 40 of the Public Health Law (PHL) and Subpart 86-6 of Title 10 of the Commissioner's Administrative Rules and Regulations.

For non-NYC regions, minimum wage increases have been incorporated into these rates based on survey data that was submitted and attested.

The rates are attached to this letter and are posted on the NYS DOH public website. The payment for the January 1, 2021, hospice rates will be made in cycle number 2323, check release date March 16, 2022.
