Deadline Extension Available for 2017 First Time MU Providers

Providers in NYS who are attesting to Meaningful Use (MU) for the first time in program year 2017 were granted an extension by CMS to allow them to register their intent to submit data to Public Health at any point before or within their EHR Reporting Period. Registration to submit to the NYS DOH and NYC DOHMH sponsored Public Health registries is completed via the Meaningful Use Registration for Public Health (MURPH) System, which is hosted on the NYS Health Commerce System (HCS).

Providers who intent to attest to 2017 MU that do not register by 11:59PM (EST) December 31, 2017 will need to meet the 2017 MU Public Health Reporting Measures through other means. (Additional Info on Meeting a Measure: FAQ#1.1)
