The Eligible Professional (EP), Eligible Hospital (EH), or Critical Access Hospital (CAH) is in active engagement with a Public Health Agency (PHA) or Clinical Data Registry (CDR) to submit electronic public health data in a meaningful way using Certified EHR Technology (CEHRT), except where prohibited and in accordance with applicable law and practice.

Announcements

Important MURPH System Service Update

The Enhanced Meaningful Use (EMU) program is scheduled to sunset on 12/31/2021. The Meaningful Use Registration for Public Health (MURPH) system will be taken offline on 12/31/2021 as well. Once MURPH is offline, EPs/EHs will no longer have access to their Audit Report Cards (ARC) through MURPH. After the EMU program ends, the ARC will be the only proof of participation in the program. We encourage all program participants to log in to MURPH and download the most recent copy of their Audit Report Card before 12/31/2021 deadline. Please retain this copy for your records in case of an audit initiated by the Office of Medicaid Inspector General (OMIG).

On behalf of the EMU program, we would like to thank you for your participation and making this program a success.

If you or your practice have any questions or concerns regarding this information, please contact our Public Health Reporting Support Team by email at mupublichealthhelp@health.ny.gov or by phone at 1-877-646-5410, Option 3.
